Local supporters

As a small charitable organisation, DunRunnin Rehoming Kennels relies almost entirely on the charitable donations of materials and labour by local individuals and businesses.

If you would like to help in a similar vein to our fantastic supporters thanked on this page, please do get in touch as we’d love to hear from you!

Norman, Anton & Marty of Norman’s Butchers

We’d like to say a huge thank you the team at Norman’s Butchers in the nearby village of Eynsford – Purveyors of Top Quality Bones to the Retired Greyhound Gentry! ?

The very kind team at Norman’s save their very best bones for our lucky greyhounds, who now look forward to ‘Wednesday Bone Day’ every single week. It’s really quite rare to find a truly traditional butchers shop that carves onsite, and can provide this quantity of bones on a weekly basis, so we’re very lucky to have the support of this local establishment.

Howdens, Swanley, Kent

Thank you very much to the fantastic support of Howdens Joinery in Swanley, Kent who have very kindly donated a whole set of kitchen units, workstops and sinks for installation in our Greyhound Kitchen. Prior to the donation, we were preparing meals for 40 plus hounds, using three rickety old garden tables, but now we have full length runs of quality worktops, which is making dinner time and washing up so much easier for Karen and her volunteers!

Kelly, Mick, & Kieran

Thank you so much to our friends Kelly, Mick, Kieran and Morva who have given up their time to help us repaint the kennels. The kennels are now looking much fresher, and much to our amusement, we also now have a few black hounds running around with new white tails!!! (Fester and Gazelle seem particularly proud of their new look!) ?

Thanks again to all for your continued support for this terrific charity!

We are currently looking for supporters to help with the following projects to improve our kennel facilities for our lovely residents, and so are interested to hear from anyone able to donate funds, materials or labour to help with these improvements –

* Replacement of our outdoor door paddocks (materials and labour needed).
* Replacement of our existing decrepit toilet facilities (materials and labour needed).

If you can help in any small way, we’d love to hear from you!
